Conor Maynard vs. Olly Murs in the Ultimate Mashup Sing-Off to Justin Bieber’s 2U

YouTube stars Conor Maynard and Olly Murs go head-to-head for a sing-off! But to add a bit more of thrill, the duo will sing different songs over Justin Bieber and David Guetta’s 2U and the result was music mashup magic!

Conor Maynard revved his gears first, his signature raspy vocals we all loved, by singing Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River– and kid you not, he embedded the lines perfectly on 2U’s instrumental! His vocals glide across the beat immediately upon entering the instrumentals, giving you a head start on what’s the sing-off is going to be.

After Conor’s unique spin, Olly Murs came in with Passenger’s Let Her Go, a song with a completely different vibe yet he slides the song in smoothly! Each quarter of a minute, the two artists sing a new song, which feels like a fun surprise. It’s less of a battle and more of a ‘who can make this sound cooler?’

You could hear Conor belt out a high note from a totally unexpected song and you realize how versatile 2U can be. Olly’s playful attitude and effortless charm comes through, too, and when he puts his cheeky touch to every line, the whole sing off feels like an impromptu jam session. By the end you’re left in awe of how creative these two are and how they can take familiar songs and mash them up into gold.
