Keane Takes Manchester by Surprise with an Unforgettable Train Ride Concert

Imagine your typical day-to-day routine is to catch the train to work every day just to be at the front and center of an intimate Keane concert? On that day, September 26th, 2019, Manchester tram riders were serenaded by live performance of Somewhere Only We Know and The Way I Feel from Keane themselves, Tom Chaplin and Jesse Quinn. The special performance went viral with fans and newbies alike!

One comment sums it up perfectly: “You’re not getting off that train even if it’s your stop.” Honestly, who could blame them? You’re not going to just hop off when Keane starts playing a private show right in front of you. It was putting everyone in this bubble and getting off at the next stop wasn’t an option.

To see one of the UK’s most beloved bands playing so humbly, playing music in a tram setting is noteworthy in itself. It’s a performance about connection – sometimes the best concerts aren’t in stadiums, but in the places we live our everyday lives.
